Advanced Strategy: Clearing Hard Levels (7โ€“10)

May 2026 ยท 5 min read

What Changes in Hard Levels?

Levels 7โ€“10 introduce significantly more tiles, multiple deck piles on the sides, and deeper tile stacking. The board has up to 168 tiles compared to just 9 in Level 1. Planning becomes essential โ€” you can't wing it anymore.

Strategy 1: Work the Decks First

From Level 2 onwards, side decks appear. These contain additional tiles you can draw from. Check the deck counts and use them strategically โ€” if you see two of a tile on the board, draw from the deck to get your third match.

Strategy 2: Never Fill Your Bar Halfway

In hard levels, avoid having 4+ different tile types in your 7-slot bar simultaneously. This leaves no room to maneuver. Try to keep 2โ€“3 types max, working toward matches before picking new tiles.

Strategy 3: Prioritize Buried Tiles

Tiles buried under multiple layers are dangerous โ€” you can't see them coming. Work from the top down, clearing surface tiles to reveal what's underneath before committing to a pattern.

Strategy 4: Save Your Shuffle

You only get one Shuffle per level. Don't use it early. Save it for when you're truly stuck โ€” bar filling up with no matches in sight. A well-timed Shuffle can completely reset a bad situation.
